Run the round

  1. Choose two to four prompts for a meeting break. Present them as hypothetical preferences, not decisions about anyone's role or workload.
  2. Read and display both choices. People may speak, type, write, point to a labeled option, use a communication aid, or pass.
  3. Both, neither, or a third option is welcome when the choices do not fit. Explanations are optional.
  4. Do not use responses to evaluate colleagues, settle a workplace dispute, or ask for private company details.

Scoring: No correct answers and no points. Do not reward the majority choice or rank coworkers' work preferences.

Starting a task

1. Would you rather start a project with a rough sketch or start a project with a short written outline?

2. Would you rather review one detailed example or review three quick examples?

3. Would you rather receive a question in advance or have time to write a response afterward?

Facilitation note

Treat this as a preference; do not ask someone to justify an access need or working arrangement.

4. Would you rather name a shared folder or design its icon?

6. Would you rather explain an idea with a diagram or explain it with an analogy?

8. Would you rather test a new process yourself or watch a demonstration first?

9. Would you rather have a desk plant that gives reminders or have a notebook that finds lost pages?

10. Would you rather have a meeting-room clock that shows break time or have a meeting-room sign that shows the agenda?

11. Would you rather give a fictional product a name or give a fictional team a mascot?

12. Would you rather end a work celebration with a short quiz or end it with a cooperative puzzle?
