Run the round
- Choose three to six prompts and read both choices aloud. Explain an unfamiliar word without suggesting which choice is better.
- Display the text or label the two choices. Children may speak, point, draw, write, use a communication aid, or pass; no moving across the room is required.
- Both, neither, or a third idea is welcome if the choices do not fit. A choice alone is a complete response.
- Keep the situations pretend and let children volunteer an explanation. Do not turn differences into teasing or a contest.
Scoring: No correct answers and no points. Every preference and the option to pass are equally welcome.
