Run the round
- Choose four to six pairs and read each choice aloud. Explain an unfamiliar word without suggesting a preferred choice.
- Display or label the two options. Children may speak, point, draw, write, use a communication aid, or pass.
- Both, neither, or a third idea is welcome if the choices do not fit. No explanation or performance is required.
- Give thinking time and keep participation seated if preferred. Do not ask children to race, cross the room, or copy the largest group.
Scoring: No correct answers and no points. Welcome each preference without voting for the best idea or eliminating anyone.
